Brunel Solar Team is World Champion!
Actiflow BV congratulates the Brunel Solar Team on winning the world title at the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge!
On August 28th, after 5 days of driving across Australia in their self-built solar car Nuna 13, The Brunel Solar Team was the first team to cross the finish line and completed the 3028 kilometre challenge in a total time of 34 hours and 55 minutes. It was a nail biting competition and an amazing acheivement to bring the world title back to Delft.
At Actiflow, we are proud to have supported the team in developing a complete methodology for CFD simulations. Starting from 3D CAD, a high-quality mesh is generated automatically, after which the CFD simulation is run and the results are post-processed in a consistent and automated way. This new workflow has further reduced the simulation turn-around time, enabling the team to make the car even more efficient and high-performing.
