Wind comfort
Actiflow offers a quick scan study, where in an early design phase, the proposed development and immediate surroundings are modelled as simple volumes. Subsequently, CFD simulations are carried out providing first insights into pedestrian wind comfort. This approach helps to identify potential problems in terms for wind comfort and safety. Results obtained from quick study cannot be used to support planning applications, however, they provide valuable information to architects who can adapt the building design to avoid creating windy areas.
